Android phone and tablet users in the United States have been unable to play real-money poker on their devices since Full Tilt withdrew from the U.S. market following Black Friday in April 2011. Following a 2 year hiatus, Caron Poker look set to become only the second real-money mobile poker room to welcome players from the United States. |
Carbon Poker follow on from 888, PokerStars, Bwin and PKR who have all released mobile versions of their desktop clients. The difference here is that Caron Poker are part of Merge Gaming, which is a U.S. facing poker network. While the other major poker rooms have chosen to develop native poker apps that need to be approved by Apple, Carbon Poker have circumvented this process by developing a web based app that will be played via the phones browser.
Carbon Poker have been busy testing their iOS and Android poker internally over the past few months. Before they release the app to the general public, they are asking some of their current players to take part in a beta testing phase. If you would like to be one of the first poker players to try out this new Texas Hold’em app, just complete the following steps.
Details of the new app are a little sketchy at the minute but we do know that the app will only offer cash games. We’d love to get some early feedback on this new Carbon Poker app, so please let us know if you are lucky enough to get an early version.
